Formators' Meet :- 6^th December at Sneh Jyoti,  Sevasi, Vadodara

            Fr. Lawrence Dharmaraj the PCF called upon the Jesuit formators of Gujarat province involved in various stages of formation to come together to reflect, share, discuss our strength and difficulties in the formation sector. After a gap of many years, such meeting has taken place, giving us a room to share our views on where are we and to where do we want to go? Provincial Fr. Keith, PCF Fr. Lawrence Dharmaraj, Frs. Shekhar, Dinesh, Aubrey, Alpesh, Raj, Joe Mattam, Joseph Mangalam, George Kodithottam, Saby Vazapally and Lawrence Lobo were present for the meeting. We began the meeting with a short prayer. Fr. Lawrence shared with us his meeting with Fr.Orlando Torres, and the outcome of the meeting of the PCFs meeting which he had recently attended at Shillong. He asked us to reflect on our lives as  formators who would be able to understand our young brothers in formation and lead them towards the Ignatian “Magis”. Fr. Provincial highlighted that our formation, training should lead our young men to collaborate with others, to work in a team, to have a harmonious relationship with the faithful and religious, to use the managerial tools in this changing world, build a participatory church, using the gadgets without being caught up with it retaining the freedom, how do we manage conflicts and bring reconciliation. We need people who can think, reflect, analyze, who have ability to write, read, speak and present. Accompany the young in formation and give periodic feedback, develop trust and healthy relationship, encourage the young to immerse into spiritual exercises, adopt them for the different situation and for lay people.
